Create Theme Groups in MapGeo Console
Last updated: April 3, 2020
Prerequisites
Access to the full MapGeo Console
You must have one or more Themes created in MapGeo.
Process:
Theme Groups allow you to organize similar Themes together. In order to create a new Theme Group, enter the dataset you would like to create the Theme Groups in:
Enter the “Map” tab from the left-hand menu.
Select “Theme Groups” from the “Map” tab.
Select “Create New Theme Group” in the top right corner.
Name your Theme Group.
From the drop-down menu, select the Themes you would like included in the Theme Group. Only Themes that are not already included in other groups will display in the drop-down.
Hit Submit.
On the main Theme Groups page, “Publish” your new Theme Group so it appears on the MapGeo Viewer.
Helpful Hints
A “Map Themes” Theme Group will automatically be created once you create any Theme Groups for the first time. Any Themes not added to a specific Theme Group will automatically go in the Map Themes group when you create your first Theme Group.
After you have a Theme Group created, you need to manually add all themes to existing or new Theme Groups for the new theme to display on the MapGeo viewer.
You can organize the order of the Themes within the group by dragging them up and down in the list in the Theme Group configuration. The order Themes appear in the group must match the order they appear within the “Themes” main page.
